Leadership Team Development
Helping Leadership Teams FORM - REFORM - HEAL and PERFORM through experiential team coaching and focused 1:1 executive coaching.
Overview
Leadership Team Development is for organisations that want more than a one-off offsite or a slide-deck strategy day.
This programme blends Leadership Team Development (team coaching) with 1:1 Executive Coaching, creating the conditions for honest conversation, clearer leadership behaviour, and sustained performance uplift.
It is practical, interactive and often unexpectedly human. Think chairs in circles, simple exercises that shift the dynamic, and facilitation that helps people say what is true – respectfully – so the team can move again.
WHO IS IT FOR?
This programme is designed for:
-
Senior leadership teams under pressure or in transition (growth, restructure, post-merger, new leaders)
-
Teams with strong individual capability but weak collective alignment
-
Teams carrying unresolved tension, avoidance, or low trust
-
Leadership groups who want better decisions, better meetings, and better outcomes
-
Organisations who want measurable progress, not theatre
What makes it different
Most corporate interventions prioritise content. This programme prioritises conditions.
-
Not tables, not lectures: we work in a way that encourages participation and honesty
-
Experiential and interactive: practical exercises, reflection, experimentation, real dialogue
-
Confidential and psychologically safe: trust-building is not a slogan – it is the work
-
Forward progress, not perfection: unlock options, build momentum, take action
-
Designed around your context: your culture, your challenges, your realities
Two ways we work
Leadership Team Development
Team coaching focuses on how the team behaves when it matters: decision-making, conflict, accountability, clarity and alignment.
Typical focus areas:
-
Building trust and rapport quickly
-
Psychological safety and courageous conversation
-
Roles, expectations, accountability and leadership behaviours
-
Alignment on purpose, priorities and ways of working
-
Decision quality under pressure
-
Handling conflict without damage
-
Moving from stuck to action
How it feels in the room: chairs in circles, simple but powerful exercises (yes, sometimes a ball of wool), direct conversation, practical commitments, and a team that leaves with clarity and movement.
1:1 Executive Coaching
Executive coaching supports individual leaders as the team changes around them.
It is often used to:
-
Strengthen leadership presence and communication
-
Improve decision-making and self-regulation under pressure
-
Build confidence to have the conversations that have been avoided
-
Explore patterns, blind spots, and leadership impact
-
Support leaders through role change, conflict, or organisational complexity
You can do this programme as team-only, coaching-only, or blended. The blended approach typically creates the deepest change.
HOW THE PROCESS WORKS
A clear, repeatable approach that is designed around your context - and focused on measurable progress.
Discovery and design
We start with an intake call, context mapping, and an agreed outcome focus. Where appropriate, we speak to key stakeholders.
Diagnostic and baseline
Light-touch assessment options depending on your needs: team interviews, leadership themes, ways of working review, and simple baseline measures.
Team sessions
A structured sequence of facilitated sessions (half day, full day, or retreat formats). Experiential, interactive, and anchored to your reality.
1:1 executive coaching
Leaders receive coaching alongside the team work, turning insight into behaviour change and better decisions under pressure.
Integration and measurement
We track what is changing and what is improving, and we embed what works into the team cadence so progress holds.
Outcomes leaders can expect

Stronger trust, safety and honesty in the room
-
Faster, cleaner decisions with less politics and rework

Clearer leadership behaviours and expectations

A practical operating rhythm the team can sustain
ORGANISATIONAL RETURN ON INVESTMENT
Leadership teams are a force multiplier - or a bottleneck. This work is designed to create measurable organisational value.
Enhanced performance
Improved engagement, stronger follow-through, and more consistent execution across individuals and teams.
Better decisions
Cleaner decision-making reduces drift, rework, and politics - improving strategy delivery and day-to-day operations.
Increased retention
Preventing one senior departure protects significant replacement cost and reduces disruption to delivery.
Sustainable capability
Stronger leadership behaviours and succession depth reduce reliance on expensive external hires.
WHAT SESSIONS CAN INCLUDE
Always experiential and interactive - chairs in circles, practical exercises, and honest conversation that moves the team forward.
- Trust and rapport building that changes behaviour
- Confidentiality agreements and psychological safety norms
- Coaching in confidentiality: what stays in the room, what changes outside
- Exercises that surface assumptions without blame
- Getting creative: unlocking options when the team feels stuck
- Decision-making: clarity, pace, and accountability

- Leadership behaviours and expectations: what "good" looks like
- Forward progress commitments and practical next actions
- Review loops so change holds over time
Sessions are tailored to your team size, context, and outcomes.
WHERE IS IT HELD?
Solstice is held at Sheepdrove Organic Farm, an award-winning, family-run, Soil Association certified organic farm in West Berkshire, created as a sustainable green venue in the middle of working farmland and conservation-led landscapes. The setting is deliberately nature-based - surrounded by organic pastures, wildflower meadows and woodland - giving the programme the space, calm and perspective needed for deep reflection and reset. Sheepdrove is located near Lambourn (around 20 minutes from M4 Junction 14) with on-site parking and accessible arrival arrangements, making it straightforward for leaders travelling from London, Bristol and the wider UK
INVESTMENT
Leadership Team Development is a premium, boutique intervention because the work is high-touch and context-specific. Pricing is tailored to team size, scope, number of sessions, format (onsite, offsite, retreat), and measurement needs.
